Two of the Central Coasts most Talented singer songwriters come together at Lizottes !!
The craft of songwriting is a seldom-lauded art. Yet two Central Coast troubadours are coming together to share and appreciate each others musical journey on the Lizottes stage. This is a rare chance to see two of the best songsmiths share their wares on a lazy Sunday lunch at Lizottes. Mike McCarthy has been described as Australia’s most under-rated singer/songwriter and his fans enjoy his unique ability to seamlessly mix elements of blues and folk with a contemporary twist. His musical path has taken him around Australia, Japan, The UK and USA. Now with five albums, an EP, and a new album due for release in May 2012, he heads back to his hometown to share the stage with Mark Moldre. “A deeply romantic, almost surreal musical vision…Moldre skewers us with incisive imagery and snags our hearts with simple but memorable tunes”. Mark’s singles In This Life, Troubled Genius, Hushabye Mountain and This Romantic Day were added to the FBi and Rage play lists, received spins on JJJ, 2serFM, ABC, Landed Music TV and community radio stations – some of whom featured ‘The Waiting Room’ as Album Of The Week.
